Designing With Line
Designing with line give the eye explicit directions about where to look and how to interpret what it is looking at. Lines can be used to convey a certain mood, organize a design or add texture. Horizontal lines convey a calm, quiet and stable mood.

Vertical lines suggest movement and organization.

Diagonal lines suggest movement and activity.

Curved or wavy lines suggest a flowing and soft mood.

Jagged lines convey sharp active movement.

Thick lines convey a sense of strength and can be aggressive.

Thin lines appear more delicate and fragile.
